Mediterranean and Aegean Coasts are the vitrine of our country in the world tourism market. 65 % of touristic investments have been made in these destinations for mass coastal tourism thus touristic season became parallel to summer season. Diversification of touristic products and extending touristic season to twelve months will help to cover such inconveniences. Food Tourism policies which will be developed to meet the changing touristic demand have a very important role within tourism diversification.

Bozcaada has a great potential in terms of food tourism. Besides the geographical characteristics as an Aegean island, Bozcaada has an authentic culinary culture and also a variety of locally produced wines. To promote and market all these products together with rich island culture and traditional Turkish hospitality will ensure Bozcaada’s place as a charming destination among others.

Kalaafiyet is a book published by me gathering 100 local recipes. It is still in Turkish. I hope to translate it to English soon.
